Unemployment insurance is a pre-paid vacation for freeloaders
Well Reagan’s quote doesn’t really have anything to do whatsoever with this post, but I figured it was somewhat of a premonition for me. In 10 years, I’ll be outta college, living on the streets, and strumming my guitar while belting out Lenny Krevitz tunes and Amazing Grace. Good thing America is so liberal with the indigents–shall I thank FDR and his social security legislation? Eh, I think I’ll pass and just thank my parents for being so goddamn strict and pushy with my academics, which ultimately led to my intellectual demise and emotional breakdown. =) Accolades for Pop and Ma. Anyway, about the vacation theme… I’ll be heading up to upstate NY for Buddhist camp at Chuang-Yen Monastery and then to Paris for a fracking MONTH! Good grief, if I could be any less excited I think I’d start believing in wormholes.
Anyway, I havn’t hung loose with my buddies all summer (Sharon, Jessie, Carol, Vicky, Lizzeroooo, Steph, Becky, Kayshuv, Dong, KDong, Jimmy (x2), Anu, Rob Carlo–and anyone I missed, gomen!) See you peeps in August! And by then…get ready for an absofuckinglutely rock-ass senior year! =) Yessir! Okay, I’m off… tchao!
Joming!
